The first step in making money is to buy a private label rights product.  They are easy to find online.  With that said, proceed with caution.  PLR products are sold at affordable prices because they are sold to a number of individuals.  You don’t want to sell an ebook that 2,000 other people just bought and are trying to sell too.  Do not just look for a good private label ebook with an affordable selling price.  Also, look for an offer where sales are restricted to a limited number of buyers.

In keeping with choosing the perfect private label ebook, consider the profits.  Focus on two types of subjects.  They are things people do all the time and hot topics.  Right now, the economy is in trouble.  People are looking for ways to make extra money and others are looking for money saving tips.  These are hot topics.  As for things people always want or need to do, there is computer troubleshooting, health, and pet related subjects.  You want to buy a PLR ebook that will sell.  Choose a good topic. When buying, read all rules and restrictions.  There is a lot of confusion online about PLR products.  In fact, some of the individuals selling them are misinformed.  If you buy an ebook to resell, they may want you to keep them as the original author, not make any changes, or you may be required to make changes.  Know about any rules and restrictions beforehand.  You want the ebooks that give you the most freedom.  After all, more freedom translates into more money.

To make the most money with private label articles, you should make changes.  Luckily, this is very easy.  You do not need to rewrite the entire ebook, but make regular changes.  Reword sentences, rearrange paragraphs, and so forth.  This gives you an advantage.  You can now market your rewritten and re-branded ebook as a new one.  It is no longer the same as the ten other for sale copies floating around the internet.

After rewriting your ebook, add your name as the author.  Once again, ensure you can do so.  Most quality PLR resellers enable you to.  Never sell an ebook without an author name, even if it isn’t your own.  It just looks suspicious to buyers.

Next, set your price and do so wisely.  Selling products online is tricky.  Ebooks have increased in popularity and they are easy to find online.  Although your working from home ebook is different than another selling for $10 less, people are instinctively going to focus on the cheaper book.  Examine the competition before pricing your re-branded ebook.  Then, consider the information covered, the depth you go into, and the length.  Luckily, prices are adjustable.  If your ebook is selling fast, increase the price.  If it has stalled with little sales, lower the price or offer a special sale.

After setting your selling price, you must decide how you want to sell your ebook.  To retain the largest profits, create your own sales page.  All you really need is one page.  Purchase an affordable web-hosting package.  Your sales page should include the title of your book, highlight a few points covered, contain excerpts, and list the price.  Include graphics too.  Another alternative is to rely on a third-party website, such as Lulu.com. These are established websites, but take a percentage of each sale.  They do cut into your profits.

Regardless of your selling method, marketing comes next.  As previously stated, there are many ebooks for sale online.  Make yours stand apart from the rest.  A good cover, good content, and good price will do this, but don’t rely on these alone.  Market your sales pages with online message boards and article directories or create an affiliate program.  Increase your profits by generating interest about your ebook.  Don’t wait for buyers to come to you; bring them!
